Timeline of Women in the US Army

While there is the requisite article on Wikipedia, the US Army has a very comprehensive site dealing with women and changing roles going back the Continental Army in 1775. From posing as a male to enlist, or signing up to “free and man to fight” in WWII, to today’s professional soldier ranging in rank from e1 Private to four-star General, women have played a part in the Army since before the nation was born.
