Chapter 7 is heavily invested in our Chapter Service Officers program. The important of their work cannot be overstated and is one of, if not the most, important things that we do as a Chapter. The program has grown significantly in the last ten years, providing services with weekly walkup hours at the Chapter Home and by appointment. Additionally, outreach services are offered at location in Prince Georges, Anne Arundel and Howard Counties, with organizations such the Maryland National Guard (Army/Air Guard Yellow Ribbon Program) and U.S. Army Reserve (99th RSC) and U.S. Navy Reserve (NOSC Ft McHenry and the Annapolis VetCenter (third Thursday of each month). Future plans include the addition of additional CSOs, outreach to local college programs in at least three counties and to a number of Veteran-heavy local groups. To quote one of our senior CSOs the “bottom line: we are staying quite busy at Chapter 7!”
