Scranton PA (Tribune News) — Pa. soldier lost in WWII coming home

The remains of Army PFC Willard “Bud” Jenkins, Company C, 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division are coming home to Scranton, PA this month.  Jenkins was one of 48 Americans KIA in the amphibious attack across the Waal river at Nijmegen. He had bee buried as an “unknown” in the Netherlands but was only recently identifies through a DNA sample provided from a family member.
